We are looking for a talented and driven Data Scientist/Analyst to join Dyson’s Finance team, with a specific focus on product cost analysis and insights. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of data science experience who has a passion for visual storytelling, deriving meaningful insights from data, and delivering actionable intelligence to key stakeholders.As a Data Analyst/Scientist, you will work with complex datasets, build visualizations that communicate insights effectively, and develop models that inform critical financial decisions. In this fast-moving environment, you’ll collaborate with a variety of disciplines to analyze data, track cost drivers, improve reporting processes, and shape the way Dyson approaches product costs.Key Responsibilities:
- Overall data analytics support for Supply Chain Finance
- Dashboard development and costing analytics projects
- Ensure data cleanliness, accuracy and completeness for meaningful analysis and visualization
- Includes managing GCP exceptions and GCP vs SAP reconciliation.
- Advocate and implement best practices for data analysis, visualization, and documentation
- Drive relevant stakeholders in which we are dependent on for clean source data
- Data Analysis and Modelling
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to track product costs, identify cost drivers, and uncover inefficiencies or opportunities for cost control.
- Use machine learning and statistical techniques to create predictive models for product cost forecasting and optimization.
- Automation and Process Improvement
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 4-5 years of experience in data science, with a strong emphasis on data visualization and storytelling .
- Technical Expertise
- Proven proficiency with Tableau , Power BI , or other leading visualization tools to create advanced dashboards and interactive visualizations.
- Strong Python or R programming skills, with experience in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Familiarity with machine learning methods, predictive modeling, and financial forecasting.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS , Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.
