Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Lead Executive – Supply Chain Management (SCM) to manage the procurement of electronic commodities and ensure uninterrupted material availability for production. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electronics commodity buying, MRP planning, ERP systems, supplier management, and Clear to Build (CTB) planning within an EMS environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and procure electronic commodities, including Integrated Circuits (ICs), passive components, connectors, PCBs, electromechanical parts, and other production materials based on the Bill of Materials (BOM) and production requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements with global suppliers, distributors, and OEMs to achieve cost optimization and supply continuity.
  • Create, release, and manage purchase orders through ERP systems while ensuring timely supplier confirmations and deliveries.
  • Ensure Clear to Build (CTB) by maintaining 100% material readiness in alignment with MRP planning and production schedules.
  • Monitor and resolve MRP exceptions such as reschedule messages, cancellations, shortages, and excess inventory.
  • Develop and maintain material trackers to monitor shortages, supplier commits, open purchase orders, delivery schedules, and CTB status.
  • Collaborate closely with Production Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, and Quality teams to ensure material availability for customer deliveries.
  • Conduct BOM analysis and proactively identify long lead-time or critical components that may impact production.
  • Drive supplier performance by monitoring delivery adherence, quality, responsiveness, and lead-time commitments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to expedite deliveries, manage allocation issues, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining target inventory levels and minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
  • Prepare and present procurement, CTB, shortage, and supplier performance reports to management.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of electronics commodities such as ICs, passive components, connectors, PCBs, and electromechanical parts.
  • Experience in BOM analysis, material planning, procurement, and supplier management.
  • Strong understanding of MRP planning concepts and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in Clear to Build (CTB) planning and material readiness management.
  • Ability to manage material shortages, supplier commits, and production priorities effectively.
  • Good understanding of global electronics supply chain practices and distributor networks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and material tracking.

  • APICS/CPIM/CSCP or equivalent Supply Chain certification will be an added advantage.


Skills Required

  • Proven MRP planning and ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)

  • Ability to manage material shortages, supplier commits, and production priorities
  • Experience creating, releasing, and managing purchase orders through ERP
  • Commercial negotiation skills with global suppliers and distributors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and material tracking
  • Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Medical, or Industrial EMS sectors
  • Knowledge of Lean Supply Chain principles and inventory management techniques
