About Ande

We're a Series A startup building an AI-native platform that connects Enterprises and Hospitality across the entire booking experience, backed by top-tier investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Sierra Ventures, and Bain Capital, and led by a serial entrepreneur with offices in NYC and SF. We help companies turn every dinner, event, and offsite into something effortless to plan and a breeze to manage, plugging right into the tools they already use.

What You’ll Do
  • Own features end to end. You’ll take features from concept through launch and keep improving them afterward. You’ll scope them with product and design, build across the UI, API, and data model, and own them once they’re in production.

  • Build enterprise-grade foundations. Large companies need certain things before they’ll roll out a product company-wide: roles and permissions, SSO, audit trails, billing, and the security and reliability they expect. You’ll build them.

  • Design APIs for people and agents. You’ll design typed APIs and data contracts that serve both our apps and the AI agents acting on users’ behalf, including long-running, streaming, and approval-gated workflows. The abstractions you build should work across customers without forking the code for each one.

  • Build integrations. You’ll connect Ande to the systems customers and partners already use, and keep those connections dependable when the other side is slow, wrong, or down.

  • Keep data correct. You’ll design data models that hold up under concurrency and scale, especially where money, commitments, or approvals change hands.

  • Build polished, fast interfaces. You’ll build the tools people use every day, across web, mobile, and the apps they already work in. They should feel simple even when the workflow behind them isn’t.

  • Raise the bar. You’ll set architecture direction, raise code quality through reviews, and mentor engineers. Like the rest of the team, you’ll ship with AI coding agents every day and set the standard for reviewing the code they write.

What We’re Looking For
  • Education and experience: a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, plus 5+ years building production software, including enterprise B2B SaaS that customers rely on every day.

  • Full-stack depth: deep experience with TypeScript, React, and Node, and strong API design using GraphQL or another typed contract.

  • Data modeling: strong Postgres skills, with transactions, migrations, and concurrency done right.

  • Enterprise readiness: you’ve shipped what enterprise customers require, including SSO, roles and permissions, audit logs, and third-party integrations.

  • Product taste: you work closely with design and care about how the product feels, not just whether it works.

  • AI-native workflow: you use AI coding agents every day and have the judgment to review their output to a high standard.

  • Leadership: a track record of leading projects end to end and making the engineers around you better.

Bonus Points
  • Experience with payments, spend management, expense or procurement products.

  • Experience building Slack apps, Office add-ins or browser extensions.

  • React Native or Expo.

  • AWS serverless and containers (Lambda, ECS, SQS) and infrastructure as code.

  • Experience with marketplaces or booking systems.

  • You've designed APIs for LLM agents to call, not just people.

Why This Role Matters

The Ande Agent can only do what the platform lets it do. Every booking, payment, approval, and policy check runs through the APIs you’ll build, so the agent is only as fast, safe, and reliable as your work.

This role is also what makes Ande enterprise-ready. Finance and procurement teams buy us for roles and permissions, SSO, audit trails, and integrations with the tools they already use. Our strategy is to turn corporate entertainment into a managed program with savings companies can see, and most of that program is software you’ll build.

You’ll build for two audiences: the people who use Ande every day and the AI agents acting on their behalf.
