We are seeking an experienced Utility Domain Business Analyst & Test Lead with strong knowledge of utility operations, smart metering, billing systems, and software testing. The candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, bridging the gap between business and technical teams, and leading end-to-end testing activities to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
  • Understand and document business requirements from utility stakeholders.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and user stories.
  • Analyze utility business processes related to Smart Metering, AMI, Billing, CRM, Meter Data Management (MDM), and related systems.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Coordinate with development, implementation, and support teams to ensure requirements are translated into solutions.
Test Management
  • Define and implement testing strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Lead Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Review and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Track defects, coordinate resolutions, and ensure closure of testing activities.
  • Monitor test execution and provide regular status reports to project stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams.
  • Support UAT activities and facilitate sign-offs from business stakeholders.
  • Provide business and functional support during project implementation and go-live activities.


Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Utility Domain processes (Power Distribution, Smart Metering, AMI, Billing, MDM, CRM).
  • Experience in Business Analysis and Software Testing.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in Smart Meter, AMI, MDM, CIS, or Utility Digital Transformation projects.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP/CCBA) or Testing (ISTQB) is an added advantage.


Skills Required
