Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver technical publications updates and new content to meet contract requirements, customer expectations, and program schedules.
- Ensure compliance with applicable publication standards (e.g. MIL-STD, S1000D), regulatory requirements, and customer-specific requirements; maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Manage controlled technical data to ensure proper handling, storage, distribution, and supplier access aligned to program security, export-controlled constraints (as applicable).
- Partner with Engineering (Product Support, Design, Maintainability, Repair, etc.) and other stakeholders to translate drawings, configuration changes, and source data into accurate and timely manual updates.
- Lead supplier execution by defining clear workscope and acceptance criteria, monitoring progress, and enforcing quality gates to prevent escapes and rework.
- Drive customer responsiveness by prioritizing requests, clarifying requirements, and communicating impacts, risks, and tradeoffs to protect commitments.
- Track process health and performance metrics (schedule, quality, responsiveness) and provide clear reporting for program reviews and leadership decisions.
- Lead improvement and project work (e.g. major revisions, customer-driven updates, supplier transitions) using sound judgment, data-driven recommendations, and effective stakeholder influence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
