GEnx Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) organization in GE Aviation Bangalore Engineering Center (BEC) provides systems & design leadership on managing life cycle issues for GEnx engine in accordance with the SQDC framework. This organization is integral part of Services Engineering organization within GE Aviation Engineering Division.
Role Summary/Purpose: The life cycle Lead engineer will own all the responsibilities pertaining to a specific hardware or group of hardware(s) in GEnx LCE Engineering Org. You will be required to work collaboratively with a cross-functional teams including but not limited to Systems, Programs, PSE, Manufacturing Programs, Quality, Supply Chain, Repairs and Materials to address component related issues and perform root cause analysis and corrective actions as required.Job Description

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Role Overview: In this role, you will report to Sub-Section Manager in GEnx LCE at GEA, BEC, JFWTC, Bangalore. As a LCE engineer, your responsibility broadly includes:
Lead design, development, and field issue resolution of owned Hardware per product life cycle
Provide technical solutions to meet design CTQs for owned hardware working with adjacent hardware owners & other supporting functions
Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions and containment plans to meet near term and long term needs of the owned hardware(s)
Engage and provide technical solutions to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, product center, supplier, or field issues
Communicate project information to drive prioritization & program execution
Participate & present in design reviews, tech reviews & PCB reviews
Collaborate and interact with customer, partner and adjacencies like Supply chain, other engineering discipline like Engine Dynamics, Thermal System, clearances.
Leverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions
Embrace and lead Flight Deck adoption
Meet all the deliverables within targeted cost & schedule with FTY & OTD = 100%
Ideal Candidate:
Should have experience in Design/Hardware Ownership of aircraft engine/Gas turbine components
Required Qualifications:
BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience on Design/Hardware Ownership of aircraft engine/Gas turbine components
Clear thinker and effective problem solver
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel as required
