In the Center of excellence for special calculations , the candidate will be the responsible for performing complex Finite element based calculations for various Hydro components.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Execute and validate the critical hydro components of the project based on finite element analysis approach
- Depending on the requirement to perform various FEA calculation like Linear & nonlinear static structural calculation , Fatigue assessments , modal analysis , dynamic calculations like harmonic response analysis etc. . At times it will be required to perform a fracture mechanics calculations as well.
- To perform the FEA postprocessing of base material and welds consistent with standards applicable to hydro like ASME , FKM , Eurocode etc
- To deliver high quality calculation output in defined timeline and budget.
- Provides strong technical support to the Business Units for their daily business (technical reports)
- Information and feedback to other parties in the process
- Participates to taking Hydro calculation methodology forward
- Ability and willingness to develops calculation programs and theory behind regarding the mechanical calculation of turbine/Generator components is a plus.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Mechanical Engineer, preferably Masters
- Experience in mechanical calculation domain
- Have strong know how of Structural mechanics and Finite element concepts
- Have experience with a Finite element tool preferably Ansys.
- Experience with a modelling tool like NX.
- Exposure to AI tools /Agents to bring productivity
- Team player
- Ability to work in a global organization with a lot of interactions with other teams
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge in object-oriented programming ideally C, C++, Python, Fortran is added advantage
- Knowledge in rotating machine is advantage
