Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dyson Electronics Pte Ltd - Philippine Branch. This role involves leading the design, development, and validation of innovative electronic systems for Dyson products, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire electronics product development lifecycle, from concept to mass production, for various Dyson products.
- Architect and design complex analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, including power management, microcontroller-based systems, sensor interfaces, and wireless communication modules.
- Perform detailed circuit simulations, analyses, and calculations to ensure design integrity and performance.
- Oversee PCB layout design, working closely with layout engineers to optimize for signal integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for electronic components, sub-assemblies, and final products, including functional, performance, reliability, and compliance testing.
- Lead fault finding, root cause analysis, and resolution of electronic hardware issues during development, testing, and production phases.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, software engineering, industrial design, and manufacturing to integrate electronics seamlessly into products.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electronics engineering.
- Ensure all designs meet relevant international safety, regulatory, and quality standards (e.g., IEC, FCC, CE).
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for electronics development activities.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in electronics design and development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior engineering role.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing complex electronic products from concept to mass production.
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers (ARM Cortex preferred), power electronics, sensor technologies, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle).
- Strong understanding of EMI/EMC principles and design for compliance.
- Experience with firmware development and debugging is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with product development processes and quality management systems.
