- Architect and implement robust hardware platforms, including motor control, sensing interfaces (e.g., magnetic, optical), and high-speed SoC-based systems.
- Develop schematics, guide PCB layout, and ensure design integrity through simulation, tolerance analysis, and reviews.
- Prototype, integrate, and validate hardware designs, including embedded firmware interfaces where required.
Product Engineering & Delivery
- Ensure designs meet product requirements for performance, reliability, manufacturability (DFM), cost, serviceability, and regulatory compliance (e.g., IEC, UL, EMC).
- Drive design verification (DVT), product validation (PVT), and reliability testing, including defining test methodologies.
- Own and manage technical risks throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production, and lead root cause analysis and resolution.
- Deliver high-quality engineering documentation (schematics, layouts, FMEA, failure analysis, design reports, and technical reviews).
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with mechanical, motor, firmware, test, and compliance teams to ensure system-level integration and performance.
- Partner with manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for high-volume production and quality (DFX).
- Support quality and reliability teams in field return analysis and continuous improvement.
Supplier & Production Engagement
- Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure components and processes meet quality and cost targets.
- Participate in supplier auditing, qualification, and performance management.
- Drive production readiness and ensure smooth transition from development to mass production.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and design guidance to junior engineers.
- Contribute to and drive improvements in electronics development processes, tools, and best practices.
- Support project planning and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
