To support GM's go-to-market strategy, GM is advancing the DRP Next-Gen Dealer Sales Cloud to help unify and modernize the retail experience. The DRP Implementation Team is seeking a highly capable leader to drive communications and field support strategy and execution for the GM Field Team and dealer network related to the Digital Retail Platform (DRP) and adjacent retail innovation initiatives.
The Role
This role serves as the lead for DRP implementation communications and field support, responsible for developing and executing strategies that enable successful adoption across the field and dealer network. The individual in this role will operate as a subject-matter resource, translating complex retail initiatives into clear, actionable communications and support tools that reinforce launch readiness, business value, and field effectiveness. The role requires strong cross-functional partnership across program, field, division, brand, and external partner teams to ensure communications and field support activities are timely, relevant, and aligned to GM's broader retail strategy.
Role
This role will:
- Lead communication strategy and execution for the rollout of the Digital Retail Platform across multiple programs, divisions, and regions.
- Develop and manage integrated communication plans that support launch readiness, adoption, sustainment, and overall field effectiveness.
- Translate complex program updates into clear, actionable messaging and support tools for dealers and GM Field Teams.
- Partner closely with DRP program teams, divisions, brands, and business partners to ensure communications are aligned, relevant, and audience-specific.
- Anticipate and address dealer questions and objections through proactive, value-based communication strategies.
- Lead Retail Innovation Team Go-to-Market meetings and communicate DRP, Mobile Service+, and EV Fulfillment Center updates to GM Field Teams.
- Work with Tekion, implementation partners, and agency resources to develop dealer training, field support materials, and related communication deliverables.
- Monitor communication effectiveness, field readiness, and dealer feedback to continuously improve adoption and implementation outcomes.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related areas
- 5-7+ years of experience in automotive sales, retail, communications, go-to-market, or related business functions.
- Experience in field or dealer-facing roles, regional sales, brand sales operations, retail incentives, or retail enablement.
- Experience managing dealer-facing programs from strategy through launch and sustainment.
- Strong knowledge of dealer operations, including sales and fixed operations.
- Strong understanding of brand and vehicle operations, including sales, marketing, product, and retail execution.
- Experience working cross-functionally with enterprise teams, vendors, agency partners, and implementation partners.
- Working knowledge of the Digital Retail Platform, EV Fulfillment Centers, and Mobile Service+.
- Demonstrated ability to create communication plans, training materials, and adoption strategies for large-scale rollouts.
