This high-profile IT Director role is jointly responsible for the transformation, modernization and automation strategy along with its execution for the Claim adjudication platform.
Major Responsibilities Include:
-Directing a high skilled team of 50+ technology professionals, will act as the IT leader responsible for core adjudication strategic programs work stream running on the iSeries AS/400 platform.
-Responsible for the development and delivery of optimized technology solutions for CVS Health's RxClaim Adjudication platform. Will be a transformational leader providing forward-thinking and strategic direction in jointly developing and executing on our vision for Adjudication as a Service. Strategy will include driving down cost of change, increase speed to market, technology relevance in ensuring scalability and serviceability of the platform
-Create and ensure the implementation of application development standards to drive architectural roadmap for simplification and modularization of key adjudication functions. In addition, will be leading large enterprise strategic and compliance programs working in close collaboration with PSS IT and Business leaders
-Assist in the business development process, setting priorities, and understanding requirements and technical platforms available to meet the business needs. Should anticipate any challenges related to organic growth, system performance or EOL software / hardware potentials while ensuring all regulatory/compliance requirements are met.
The Director will lead an experienced and motivated team tasked with delivering high-quality, modular and scalable solutions, ensuring that CVS Health continues to stay innovative in the healthcare marketplace.
To be successful in this role you must exhibit the following:
Experience with industry leading expertise in IBM i and similar technologies, including but not limited to Mimix, CL, RPG/RPGLE, COBOL, SYNON, CA/2E, SQL, Aldon, JDBC, ODBC, Direct Connect, Rational Developer, iNavigator, PEX and Database concepts
Experience leading strategic planning for enterprise applications including planning related to scalable growth, performance tuning, and optimization of the systems.
Experience analyzing the enterprise platforms and related technologies to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
Experience in creating and running budgets, strategic planning, process enhancement, technical leadership, HR management and staff development

Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of Healthcare IT experience in a large-scale complex technology environment, leading IT teams focused on application/system architecture & application development of the AS/400 platform and related technologies
• In depth understanding of APIs and microservices-based architecture
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Health Care Industry domain knowledge including 2+ years’ experience in a Director level role or 4+ years of diverse experience in a Sr Manager role.
Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps
Experience integrating with legacy mainframe/mid-range AS400 applications including developing roadmaps for modernization of the applications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
