We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to take charge of our infrastructure and ensure the seamless deployment and scalability of our LAMP-stack-based SaaS products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in custom server environments (e.g., Hetzner), innovative monitoring dashboards, and cost-optimization strategies. This role is vital for driving operational excellence, implementing innovative solutions, and maintaining high-performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the existing LAMP stack-based infrastructure.
- Oversee server environments (e.g., Hetzner) and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Monitor and manage performance metrics to maintain application uptime and speed.
- Develop and maintain custom monitoring dashboards.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
- Ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Propose and implement new tools and practices to optimize infrastructure and reduce operational costs.
- Stay updated with emerging DevOps trends and best practices to introduce relevant innovations.
- Analyze infrastructure expenses and identify cost-cutting opportunities.
- Implement strategies to ensure an optimal balance of performance and cost-efficiency.
- Lead a small team, mentor junior engineers, and share knowledge across teams.
- Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to align DevOps practices with business goals.
- 5+ years in DevOps, System Administration, or related roles.
- Proven experience with LAMP stack environments.
- Hands-on experience managing Hetzner or similar custom server setups.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and server configuration.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker).
- Expertise in building and maintaining application monitoring solutions.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation.
- Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
