TransUnion is looking for an experienced Lead Developer for .Net Applications for its Digital Onboarding solution. TransUnion Digital Onboarding is a solution that combines products from across multiple product lines within TransUnion to create an end-to-end solution that addresses the critical business issue (CBI) around digital or digital-assisted onboarding, account access and monitoring. Delivered through a single API, our customers can deploy Digital Onboarding as a mobile app, mobile website or as a white label tool built into their own platforms. The solution's modular design also allows clients to buy the full package or individual components based on their needs.
Candidates should have a solid grasp of web development processes and procedures in the building and consuming of web services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to interface with development engineers, database engineers, quality control professionals, architects, scrum masters, product owners and executives.

Development: Primarily focused on .Net API's, Windows services and console applications

  • Writing code to product requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Maintaining and reviewing code written by other developers


Test Planning & Execution: Writing and executing test cases for testing of new product requirements and any production software or system/platform changes.

  • Writing and executing API test cases related to the back-end testing of new product requirements.
  • Defect Management and Investigation: Be able to troubleshoot code, exceptions and connectivity issues
    • Reading error log messages related to the applications under test to support defect investigation.
    • Writing defects, including steps to reproduce including applicable supporting documentation, such as log error messages or screen shots.
  • Automation: Enhancing and maintaining automation processes
    • Enhance build pipeline jobs.
  • Leadership: Help mentor and guide junior developers
    • Provide expertise and knowledge to teach technologies, patterns and practices.
  • Architecture: Producing solutions and designs
    • Translating feature or user story requirements into technical designs and solutions
    • Analyzing problems or systems changes with enterprise level impact in mind.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of work and educational experiences that demonstrates experience writing customer facing websites/applications.
  • 10+ years of demonstrable hands-on experience in a software development profession
  • 10+ years of experience in application development (.Net C#) with exposure to high availability, data driven applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and should be able to function independently as a team member.
  • You'll write efficient and maintainable code based on technical guidelines, design documents, and industry best practices.
  • You'll review code for defects and quality against technical documents and standard practices.
  • You'll design and implement unit tests for software application modules.
  • You'll generate accurate implementation estimates based on technical documents, business requirements, and team member's abilities.
  • Experience programming primarily in .Net, JavaScript, jQuery, and TypeScript.
  • Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services along with a variety of security mechanisms for authentication and authorization.
  • Experience with Relational Databases and SQL programming in SQL Server.
  • Experience with Open API.
  • Experience creating Docker containers and troubleshooting container problems.
  • Experience with code repository, such as Azure DevOps, in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and provide solutions to technical problems.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for defect management.
  • Agile methodology knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in AWS cloud or GCP cloud is an added advantage.


This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
