Job Description
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE (3-4 bullets)
As a Database Administrator - AWS, you will be responsible for
- Design, implement, manage, and optimize high performance and high availability Databases in AWS Platform (AWS RDS) including PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Migrating on-prem databases to AWS cloud (RDS, EC2 & Aurora) and maintain the same.
- Optimizing SQL queries, PowerShell scripts, automating reports, and tuning database performance.
- Supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL and other DBs on AWS RDS platform.
- Create new instances in AWS and configure them, Multi-AZ deployments for HA and Cross-Region Read Replicas for DR.
- Planning and implementation of on prem databases to AWS cloud
- Provision and manage AWS resources, including EC2 instances, RDS databases, and VPC configurations.
- End to end support of AWS RDS and Aurora Databases
- Strong knowledge of development and Migration SQL to Postgres data, table, SP and view
- Installation & Configuration.
- Schema handling.
- Database user roles and Security related permission.
- User creation, object Backup & Restore.
- Architect level Server security.
- Creating and Managing PostgreSQL Databases
- PostgreSQL Index Management
