Role Value Proposition:
MetLife Investments is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to enhance the technical delivery of MetLife Investment's Cloud Solutions for Data Warehouse and Reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong development and engineering capabilities, communication, and collaboration, with hands-on experience implementing Investments and Finance data domains by enabling continuous delivery techniques within the cloud infrastructure. A solid understanding of best practices and developer enablement is required.

Key Responsibilities:
- The Lead Full Stack Software Engineer works with the product teams to solution architect and build the Data Warehouse platform and Reporting capabilities for Asset Management covering multiple asset classes (public fixed income, equity, private placements, alternatives, real estate, derivatives, etc.) and data domains (asset, party, mandates, positions, transactions, investment performance, ratings, etc.) by leveraging best-suited services in the Microsoft reference cloud architecture. The solution should emphasize operational aspects for specific asset sectors and data domains including data quality monitoring and trend analysis.
- Provides technical expertise for product teams that are building foundational solutions using the Azure Cloud platform.
- Collaborates with the product line architect to review solution design and roadmap.
- Enables product delivery through hands-on development and collaboration with developers, analysts, and businesses to build fully vetted products that ensure that new capabilities are implemented according to enterprise standards enabling enterprise-caliber cloud data platforms.
- Lead the collection and documentation of user requirements as well as the development of user stories and estimates into technology solutions for product features, in collaboration with the Product Owner/Manager.
- Agile DevSecOps-enabled software development, infrastructure automation, and enabling end-to-end pipelines to accelerate the team's delivery of business value.
- The ideal candidate for this role needs to have extensive software development experience on Microsoft Azure and understand the problems across Dev, Sec, and Ops for a highly regulated business environment with a security and compliance mindset.
- Champions Agile and Develops adoption by driving the product team to move forward on the Agile Maturity Journey.
- Responsible for prioritizing problems, incidents, and service requests and managing processes with the Product Owner.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- 8-12 years of experience. Software development preferably in implementing a data warehouse, data mart, and reporting solutions.
- Database skills, Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and development knowledge.
- API-driven solution stack, data processing, reactive architecture
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and developing the Investments / Asset Management data warehouse and reporting capabilities using Azure Cloud services.
- Hands-on development and implementation experience in Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure App Services, and Azure Service Bus.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, and Power Apps.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment (GitHub or Azure DevOps preferred), DevOps pipelines, and/or Infrastructure automation.
- Creation of architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
- Creation of detailed technical design and development of applications using Azure Cloud services.
- Understanding of Microservices architecture and designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Sound understanding of data processing fundamentals, data warehouse concepts, and best practices.
Preferred:
- Infrastructure Automation (Terraform preferred)
- E2E test automation
- Container Creation and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience around information security, risk, PII, SOX, and legal compliance requirements.

The salary range for applicants for this position is $125,000 - $160,000.
