About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies
We’re looking for a dynamic individual to drive operational rigor in Fivetran as we continue to grow. As a Lead Company Operations Manager, in the COO Office, you will facilitate the development of our company’s strategies and ensure they are executed to enable Fivetran to achieve its company goals. This includes running our Annual Planning process, developing mechanisms to routinely check on business performance, and managing cross-functional “special projects” that arise due to our rapid growth.
This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland or Denver offices, or remote in the US.
What You’ll Do
- Strategy Development: Lead company’s annual planning process, owning and facilitating the development of company goals, strategies, and other key deliverables to propel Fivetran to new levels of success.
- Strategy Execution: Own the preparation of board materials for our executive leadership team to update our board of directors on company performance, strategy changes, and current happenings in the business. Develop and execute Company QBRs, a quarterly process to check in on key strategies and review business performance, and align on tactical strategy changes needed to best position Fivetran.
- Project Management: Lead and manage special projects and initiatives on behalf of the COO Office, ensuring timely delivery and successful execution. Utilize data and metrics to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
- Operational Excellence: Streamline processes, optimize workflows, and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our team and broader company, where necessary. Organize large, often cross-functional organization-wide projects or initiatives to drive efficiency.
- Data-driven Insights: Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and conducting ad hoc analyses to drive data driven decisions. Work with project stakeholders to develop, monitor, and analyze performance metrics to provide team regular and informed updates on quantitative findings. Partner with Analytics to identify areas of improvement for reporting and drive results across the business.
Skills We’re Looking For
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in a strategic or operational role supporting a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills; ability to structure ambiguous problems and balance creativity and practicality when solutioning.
- You think like a business owner, demonstrate incredible ownership/initiative, and have a track record of making data-driven decisions and leading multiple concurrent cross-functional initiatives from inception to successful and timely completion.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in G Suite, especially spreadsheets.
