We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Data Solutions group as a Program Manager working with Pricing and Reference Data (PRD) clients.
The Data Solutions group is responsible for the growth of FactSet’s DataFeed (off-platform) products and solutions. Our aim is to consult & organize our client’s data consumption processes with FactSet proprietary and industry standard delivery solutions. As a Program Manager in APAC, you will draw on your understanding of the region’s regulatory, cultural, and language considerations to tailor project delivery and ensure efficient, impactful client engagement across multiple countries.
Pricing and Reference Data is foundational data used to identify, describe and value financial instruments, such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, and currencies. PRD is required for workflows across the entire investment process, including trade execution, portfolio management, risk management, compliance, investment accounting and reporting. There is a tremendous market for this area of focus, including expanding into new clients, as well as competitor replacements.
What You'll Do
Project Planning & Execution:
- Serve as the single point of contact for client-facing implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.
- Select and adapt the most suitable project management framework for each project.
- Develop detailed project plans in collaboration with subject matter experts, aligning with internal and external timelines.
- Protect project scope and invoke change management processes when requirements shift.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks along with planning mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to execute on defined deliverables and business outcomes
Stakeholder Communication:
- Work alongside sales, product, engineering, implementation and other teams to provide transparency and ensure accountability throughout the implementation process.
- Own the project status reporting process, summarizing progress and highlighting blockers and decisions including to senior and executive level audiences.
- Facilitate and document internal/external meetings, ensuring engagement and clarity on priorities.
- Communicate outcomes and actionable items in a clear, concise manner.
Reporting:
- Manage project budgets for time and material engagements, keeping stakeholders informed.
- Define KPIs and metrics to accurately measure workstream progress.
- Create customized reports to summarize project data and visualize key insights.
Organizational Improvement:
- Create and continuously refine process documentation based on project experience
- Serve as an ambassador of Client Engagement Team
- Share best practices and mentor junior team members
What We're Looking For
Required Skills:
- Native fluency in Japanese, business fluency in English.
- University degree in Data, Business, Technology or other related field
- A minimum of 9 years of professional experience
- Proven experience in project management and process optimization
- Genuine interest in data, technology, financial markets
- Knowledge of financial products, instruments, and associated metadata
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and identify economies of scale
- Experience navigating the organizational structures of financial institutions and an ability to adapt messaging based on audience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
- Ability to cultivate collaborative and productive relationships
- Adaptability and capability to manage multiple priorities
Desired skills:
- Experience in financial systems or financial domain knowledge
- Experience with Project Management tooling (e.g. Asana, Monday.com, or Jira)
- Familiarity with Agile and Hybrid project approaches
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus
