Career TEAM is hiring a Lead Career Advisor as part of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program to work with WIOA and Unemployed and Underemployed Adult Job Seeker customers. This position will be responsible for providing oversight and coaching to the Career Advisors, both internal and external processes for partnership building. This position will approve enrollment applications and support services, assess caseload shape, report monthly, train in case management activities related to the WIOA program as outlined in the current program design, and assist with the day-to-day operation of the Career Advisors.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success:

  • Serve our staff with leadership
  • Support and report to the local Project/Executive Director
  • Manage the team’s active caseloads for served programs
  • Create and maintain all sites and oversee program referral pathway processes
  • Ensures that Career Advisors maintain accurate written case records and files that are necessary to meet contractual requirements
  • Assist with complex casework service plans
  • Assists Career Advisors to mitigated and remove barriers
  • Assess, manage, and maintain a caseload of new registrants as well as carryover participants
  • Tracks clients’ progress in training and job search activities monthly
  • Case note all interactions with clients
  • Build strong partnerships with community organizations
  • Develop and implement strategies to incorporate a focus on performance objectives in the daily operations of organizational staff
  • Help drive customer success and positive outcomes for contractual measures
  • Provides training and career coaching on assessments to help establish career goals aligned with the skill needs of area business and industry
  • Prepare and present reports of activities and accomplishments
  • Periodically provide coverage at different locations as need;
  • Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset
  • Other duties and projects as needed

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience working in a career center or providing career development services
  • 1+ year of experience working with unemployed and underemployed individuals
  • Ability to give presentations and workshops (public speaking)
  • Demonstrated understanding of WIOA programs and services
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly detail-oriented in order to successfully meet program requirements
  • Knowledge of local community colleges, local community partners and private training
  • provider system a plus
  • Knowledgeable about workforce program requirements
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel), PowerPoint, training platforms, and case management or customer relations software applications
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A Valid Driver’s License

  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary: $48,000-$55,000/ yr
