Lead Cardiology Scheduling Coordinator

 

Regions is looking to hire a Lead Cardiology Scheduling Coordinator to join our team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 


Position Summary:

To provide patient appointment scheduling, reception, clerical and customer service functions to all patients, visitors, and employees. These functions include: scheduling appointments, patient reception, appointment check-in, insurance verification and other related duties as assigned.


Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday.  Varying 8-hour shift based of coverage needs. 6:30AM to 5:00PM.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Five years office clerical experience, including a minimum of three years in a medical office setting. 

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a personable and professional manner

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

  • Strong computer skills; prefer experience with electronic medical record.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a fast-paced healthcare setting with patients, families and healthcare personnel

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work independently


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program preferred.

  • Experience in a healthcare setting and EPIC 

  • Competency in medical terminology and health care business environment is preferred
