We rely on our Jetstar Engineering Team to deliver our superior safety standards, up to the second. They’re the trouble-shooters, glitch-fixers and tech-experts who make sure we take to the sky safely. Solving problems. Trying new things. Getting hands-on. Fixing and double checking. It’s all part of the day job as a Jetstar Engineer – whether you’re on the frontline as a Maintenance Engineer or in our Engineering Corporate & Support Team ensuring that we land deadlines, keep projects on track and work as a team to help us transform our fleet for the better.
Your opportunity
We are currently seeking a Lead Campaign Planner to develop, maintain and oversee all medium to long range maintenance planning activities and campaigns, encompassing both scheduled maintenance and defect management.
Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Manager, this role is responsible for setting maintenance planning standards and acting as the primary escalation point for complex planning issues that impact fleet availability and operational outcomes. You will ensure regulatory and organisational compliance through the reconciliation of completed work packs, while driving continuous improvement across maintenance planning processes.
The Lead Campaign Planner will also lead performance trend analysis to identify risks, opportunities and improvement initiatives, and manage procurement and material requisition workflows to support effective and timely campaign delivery. Through strong stakeholder engagement and disciplined planning governance, this role plays a critical part in enabling safe, compliant and efficient maintenance execution.
As the Lead Campaign Planner you’ll be responsible for:
- Identifying the critical business resources (labour, material, equipment, etc.) required to consistently and efficiently deliver compliance with scheduled maintenance requirements
- Providing leadership, guidance and consistently demonstrate Jetstar values
- Demonstrating commitment to CASA and other industry regulatory authorities that continued airworthiness management and company standards can be sustained by sound process and procedures
- Supporting the continual improvement of the operation. Work with the Aircraft Allocations
- Driving compliance of departmental procedures.
- Acting in higher duties where required to backfill the Manager as required to support operational requirements
You’ll have:
- Aircraft Trade Certificate or a tertiary qualification in aviation or engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a Line Planner, Fleet Planner, or similar role
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position - desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage and adapt to change
- Sound knowledge of the PART 145 and PART 42 regulatory framework
- Working knowledge of MIS, OEM data, and Microsoft Office applications
- Solid understanding of Systems of Maintenance
