Responsibilities
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in SQL, with a focus on complex queries, performance optimization, Utilize advanced SQL techniques such as case statements, window functions, and joins to solve complex analytical problems
- Design and maintain scalable data models that support business requirements and analytical initiatives. Deep understanding of Slowing changing dimensions, Data quality, data governance . Data modeling techniques like Kimball, data vault etc which can handle big data
- Hands on with Dashboarding tools like Metabse, superset, Tableau, powerbi
- Good to have - DBT, Airflow
- Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
- Manage project timelines and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and deliver insightful analytics and dashboards that drive actionable insights and support strategic deep-dive analysis into business metrics, trends, and performance drivers to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Finance, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve BI processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in BI and data analytics, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
Skills
- Deep understanding of advanced SQL concepts such as window functions, complex joins, and performance tuning, data modeling, data governance and quality.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of successfully leading technical teams and driving results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience 8-12 years in a Lead BI role or similar capacity, with a strong background in SQL, data modeling, and analytics.
- Experience with BI tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and proficiency in data visualization techniques.
