Looking for a Team Lead to own the roadmap and key deliverables for Alteryx and dbt within the RGA Self-Service Analytics Center of Excellence (SSACOE). The SSACOE provides self-service tools and technical support to business departments as they adopt and use these tools. This role may manage a small team and be accountable for the Operating Model, User Community Support, Strategic Roadmap, Self Service Analytics Strategy, and Data Governance Strategy as it relates to Alteryx and dbt. The team will also develop and support key common components that will be used across various business teams.
Principle Duties:
Build Up Alteryx and dbt Community: support and mentor user base, manage user community questions, and conduct training/best practice learning sessions, gather and analyze requirements and pain points in support of user needs
Be an Alteryx and dbt Champion: provide solutions and recommendations for optimizing the use of Alteryx and dbt, create and manage sustainable best practices, test, and debug Alteryx workflows and dbt models to ensure workflow quality and performance
Alteryx Designer and dbt Support: help business users to troubleshoot issues
Alteryx and dbt Administration: manage user access and licenses, administer data connections, collections, jobs, environments, onboard new users, and work with other teams to ensure proper access to assets in a timely manner
Deliver on Project-Based Consulting Engagements: help users deploy, manage, govern, and tune their solutions
Understand Analytics Technology Landscape: provide recommendations, guidance, and high-level knowledge around tools like Alteryx and dbt to help decide if it is the right tool for the use case
Work with the rest of the SSACOE team on initiatives that relate to Alteryx and dbt and our overall self-service analytics strategy.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent education/ experience Required
Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Preferred
Work Experience:
8+ Years business intelligence or relevant experience Required
Licenses & Certifications:
LOMA certification Preferred
Skills & Abilities:
8+ years experience with semantic layers, cubes/ extracts, and scheduling technologies, as well as analytic, visualization, and reporting technologies. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies. Required
4+ years of Data Analysis experience Required
Demonstrated ability to lead small teams. Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to build consensus. Required
Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information Required
Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex or difficult information Required
Tableau Enterprise and Desktop/ Tidal Enterprise Scheduler
Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge Preferred

Compensation Range:
$107,060.00 - $159,390.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
