The Role

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Services Consultant that will play a pivotal role in supporting cross-disciplinary software product teams, driving agile delivery efforts, and serving as a trusted business execution advisor to leadership. This individual will work withing the Core Banking Deposits Technology organization, and manage complex projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide operational support to ensure seamless delivery of technology testing initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as an advisor to more experienced leadership to influence technology matters to develop programs that are effective and efficient for highly complex business and technical needs across one or more lines of business

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in depth evaluation across multiple lines of business or the enterprise

  • Deliver solutions that are long term, large scale, and which require understanding of organizational goals or priorities and technology to develop executable strategies and plans

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions related to technology matters that are large scale, cross functional, or companywide

  • Engage with the technology team and more experienced leaders to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business and for execution of operational processes

  • Convert product strategy into requirements for engineering team to develop the features

  • Be the voice of the customer for the product engineering team throughout the lifecycle of the product

  • Collaborate with consumers, team members, business partners and external stakeholders to ensure a solid understating of their needs

  • Be the central point of contact to consolidate feature requests as well as defects and prioritize in partnership with key stakeholders

  • Author user stories, acceptance criteria as well as product requirements documentation

  • Ensure epics and stories are aligned to the larger product strategy as well as sign off on features as they are delivered by engineering

  • Attend standups, groom stories, retrospective and other key meetings for the scrum teams

  • Manage scope of the release and negotiate trade-offs in partnership with external stakeholders

  • Identify blockers which impact the release delivery and escalate to appropriate stakeholders on a timely basis

  • Have in-depth technical know-how of supporting the products and also how the industry operates

  • Evaluate new products to get key outcomes where necessary as well as re-evaluate new ways of using existing capabilities

  • Act as the product champion within the organization with clear technical understanding of all features and functionality

  • Partner with technical writers and other communication leads to develop content for demos, trainings and other presentations

  • Keep updated with new tools and technologies

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of experience leading technology teams

  • 4+ years of Project Management or Product Owner experience

  • 3+ years of experience leading Agile teams

  • 3+ years of experience managing portfolio level budgets

  • 2+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence

  • 2+ years of experience presenting to senior leadership

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading agile delivery efforts across cross-disciplinary software product teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timelines

  • Ability to facilitate team meetings to drive effective decision-making and ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee complex project management efforts, including resource allocation, risk mitigation, and milestone tracking

  • Experience collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and drive successful outcomes

  • Demonstrated risk-focused mindset to all activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory, compliance, and organizational standards
