General Counsel Technology
FIL General Counsel Technology is responsible for providing IT solutions to the Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, Tax and Shareholder Service functions. These are global functions comprised of approximately 400 employees based in 26 countries. General Counsel Technology partners with its business stakeholders to identify their requirements and develop/implement technology solutions. This includes on-premise, SaaS and AWS solutions, both in-house built and vendor provided. There is a strong focus on data analytics, workflow and automation tools to bring greater efficiencies to these functions. Together with this there is continued move towards greater use of Agile and DevOps practices. The GC Technology team itself consists of approximately 25 people based in both the UK and India.
Role
Lead Business Analyst plays a key role in delivering technology solutions within Fidelity. This position is for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to work in the General Counsel (GC) Portfolio. The role will initially be responsible for the documentation of user requirements and supporting the identification and implementation of potential solutions, liaising with the Senior Business Stakeholders from Audit, Risk, Compliance, Legal and other areas of the GC function to define and capture requirements, liaise with technical staff and assist in user testing where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise directly with Business Stakeholders from Fidelity’s General Counsel function to define a mutually agreed set of project requirements and solutions.
- Provide trusted advice to stakeholders by building relationships across the portfolios. Be able to influence stakeholder decisions at all levels.
- Work collaboratively in an agile approach with solution architects, UX designers, product owners and the delivery teams to ensure that solutions address the requirements of the business.
- Prepare professional Business Analysis documentation to capture user requirements, acceptance criteria and testing documentation.
- Maintain data dictionaries and catalogues to ensure good data quality in all deliverables.
- Define and build test strategies with the business stakeholders and build test cases where required.
- Assist the project manager in sprint activities such as sprint planning, estimation sessions and running daily calls.
Experience and Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/MBA/M.C.A/Any other Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 7-10 years of Total Business Analysis Experience.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Ability to communicate in an efficient and concise fashion.
- Proven track record of having strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high focus on your customers.
- Experience of working with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Zephyr.
- Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.
- Flexible and positive attitude – with “can-do” approach, a self-starter that “can think on his/her feet”.
- Strong customer awareness & business focus
- Experience and understanding of Financial Instruments.
- Strong team player
- Self-motivation is essential, should demonstrate commitment to high quality design and development.
- Willingness to work in different time-zones if required.
- Initiative in keeping abreast of changing industry practices, analysis and design methods, tools and techniques and emerging technologies.
- Ability to develop & maintain working relationships with several stakeholders and testing professionals.
- Flexibility and an open attitude to change.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally, and to think with a medium term and long-term perspective.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/MBA/M.C.A or equivalent)
- 7-10 years total Business Analysis experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with customer focus
