Position Description
We are expanding Market Making business across the ASEAN, Europe, and EMEA regions and thus seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in this growth.
In this position, the incumbent will gather and analyze requirements from business units and stakeholders, translate them into detailed specifications, and collaborate closely with developers to deliver technical solutions in a timely manner. Additionally, to conduct comprehensive testing prior to launch and facilitate front-to-back integration to ensure seamless operational continuity.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Lead requirement gathering with business stakeholders to propose suitable solutions and ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
Translate requirements into detailed specifications and collaborate with developers to deliver integrated solutions for the Market Making systems and related in-house eco-system.
Analyze requirements for systems associated with the Warrant Market Making business, including Issuance Workflow, pre and post trade cycles.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of functional requirements, design specifications, and user manuals to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
Conduct thorough testing of new features and enhancements prior to deployment, ensuring test results are documented for compliance.
Coordinate with production support teams on releases and issue management.
Requirements
Degree or Master Degree holder, in IT/Computer Science related is highly preferred
A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, preferably in Equity Derivatives and market-making.
Experience in Warrant and Options Market Making will be a plus - with a strong understanding of business operations, particularly within the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Hong Kong Derivatives Exchange, CCASS and DCASS.
Strong knowledge of options pricing and it’s life cycle.
Familiarity with the pre- and post-trade cycle, encompassing trading to settlement processes.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other scripting languages.
Working knowledge of automated testing frameworks and industry best practices.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese
