The Lead Automation Engineer identifies and implements solutions (hardware and software) for improvement of the high-quality automation infrastructure. The Lead Automation Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Lead Automation Engineer designs, programs, simulates, and tests automated processes, and is responsible for detailed design specifications and other documents. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

8+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, focusing on automation in complex, large-scale systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and scale QA teams, delivering high-quality software in fast-paced, agile environments.

5+ years' experience in the following:

Automation Architecture: Extensive experience in architecting and implementing advanced automated testing frameworks from the ground up. Proficient in utilizing top-tier automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and Rest-Assured.

Programming Skills: Strong coding skills in multiple programming languages, including C#, Java, and Node.js, enhancing the ability to create diverse and robust automation scripts across different platforms.

API and Microservices Testing: Profound expertise in API and microservices testing, including contract testing and service virtualization. Familiarity with comprehensive API testing tools such as Postman, JMeter, Karate and approaches that ensure seamless integration and functionality at scale.

Performance Testing: Extensive experience in performance testing and tuning, utilizing tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner. Skilled in identifying bottlenecks and optimizing performance for large-scale applications.

CI/CD and DevOps: Mastery of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, with hands-on experience in tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (Terraform). Proficient in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous delivery and deployment.

Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experienced in testing microservices within these environments, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of modern cloud architectures.

Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM): Experience with CIAM solutions, strong understanding of IAM, SSO, SAML, OAuth concepts, methodologies, technologies.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$115,300 - $158,600 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
