Job Summary
As a Lead Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and deploying automation solutions to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of our Windows and cloud infrastructure. You will lead a team of engineers who support various configuration and services, such as Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure, GCP, and AWS. You will also collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on best practices, standards, and policies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python, or other tools, to streamline and optimize operational processes, such as provisioning, configuration, patching, backup, recovery, monitoring, and auditing.
- Engineer solutions utilizing C#, C++, JavaScript, and .Net languages.
- Manage the Windows infrastructure across multiple sites and environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows infrastructure and automation, as well as provide root cause analysis and remediation plans.
- Establish and enforce Windows infrastructure and automation standards, guidelines, and procedures, and conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to your team members, career development, and training plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Windows infrastructure and automation projects, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions that can improve the Windows infrastructure and automation capabilities of the company.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum five years of experience in Windows infrastructure and automation, preferably in a large-scale and complex environment
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes and their related protocols, features, and best practices
- Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, or other tools, as well as experience with DevSecOps methodologies and practices
- Experience with development team management software including JIRA, GitHub, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, and attention to detail and quality
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure
- Relevant certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA, AZ-104, AZ-400, or equivalent, are preferred but not required
