As a Lead Engineer, you will serve as the technical and strategic leader for the development and evolution of the Platform Team. You will drive the platform's roadmap execution, align it with organizational objectives, and ensure its scalability, reliability, and extensibility. This is a high-impact role requiring technical depth, architectural foresight, and leadership in guiding teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple environments.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Implement network architectures including VPCs, subnets, peering, routing, and load balancing.
Drive cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance configurations.
Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
Automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using API-driven workflows and DevOps tools.
Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure robust, secure, and reliable infrastructure.
Perform cost optimization and continuous improvement for cloud environments.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in cloud architecture and automation initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
Strong hands-on experience in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM, etc.).
Expertise in IaC using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, routing, firewalls).
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms (EKS preferred).
Strong Linux fundamentals including system administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with API-driven development, microservices, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of security best practices in the cloud environment (IAM, encryption, security groups, etc.).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer certification.
Experience with multi-account AWS environments and Landing Zone setup.
Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
Experience in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
