The refurbishment operations team is all about sustainability and driving operational excellence. We invest in and innovate ways to improve and adapt to climate change by giving our products and materials more mileage. We oversee the global operations and governance on product refurbishment and recycling, meaning receiving used products or returns and refurbish into sellable conditions, and whatever we can’t refurbish, recycle those materials, and bring them back into our supply chain. We run and manage 10 refurbishment sites globally, and in parallel run multiple preliminary circularity initiatives to future-proof our business in sustainability.
About the roleThe role is responsible for owning, analyzing and continuously improving master data across all Refurbishment activities across 10 sites globally. Their objective is to guide our business to make data-driven decisions to process and turn returned products to cash in the quickest, most cost-efficient and environmentally friendly way. The data team will collaborate, implement best practices in line with KPIs, govern the data accuracy across 10 sites and constantly look for ways to improve operational efficiencies and keep cost down. More specifically, the role is responsible for reporting, dashboarding, analysis of large data-sets and providing meaningful and actionable insights with sound business acumen. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, leveraging on data analytics to optimize processes and bring about cost efficiencies to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the owner of master data in refurbishment and circularity; lead high quality and detail oriented data analytics to influence the business decisions and directions.
Streamlined reporting of Refurbishment activities and presentation to higher management and key stakeholders.
Standardizing reporting across 10 sites globally to ensure consistency with 1 version of truth.
Be the bridge between 10 sites globally to share and implement best practices.
Drive automation through digital transformation initiatives in reporting to ensure business continuity and improve overall work efficiency.
Use data and advanced analytics to track KPI and generate meaningful and actionable insights.
Maintaining, enhancing and providing visibility with different perspectives through dashboard building of all sites 10 sites.
Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve processes and outcomes.
Storytelling with insights to key stakeholders to re-imagine refurbishment operations to build a commercially sustainable circular economy in Dyson.
Conduct risk assessments and implement control and governance measures to address potential refurbishment issues.
Support the teams in implementing changes and managing process transitions effectively.
Collaborate with IT teams to improve reporting capabilities with good data integrity.
Serve as the subject matter expert for all data related and refurbishment enquiries.
Provide constructive feedback and support to team members to foster a collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, engineering or related field.
Experience in supply chain planning, dashboarding or related roles.
Expertise in data analytics platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth.
