Your Opportunity as the Lead Analyst, Supply Chain Finance
Turn complex cost and commodity data into clear insights, shape forecasts that drive business performance, and partner with leaders to navigate market volatility. From standard cost planning to “what‑if” modeling and savings initiatives, your work will directly influence strategy, financial results, and long‑term growth.
In this role you will:
Support the Procurement Function through the Annual Standard Cost development process.
Ensure accuracy of submitted costs as they are foundational to the COPS Annual Financial Plan.
Explain key drivers of year-over-year changes and future market outlook to Procurement Leadership and SBA Finance partners.
Provide analytical data and support to the Buyers on actual, forecasted, and planned performance.
Partner with the Buyers to build a thorough monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) forecast.
Explain key drivers of forecasted variances to Procurement Leadership and SBA Finance partners in monthly presentations and reporting.
Take responsibility for the PPV forecast submission to the financial system.
Support team members in Cost Bridge preparation, including reconciliation of expectations and commentary on drivers.
Align with the Hedge Accounting team on Commodity performance/outlook and ensure consistent reporting/communication is delivered to Procurement and Finance.
Model “what if” scenarios and provide financial metrics related to major commodity price movements impacting the SBAs and/or Brands.
Participate in the evaluation of Savings Projects / Transformation Initiatives and track performance from implementation through completion.
Cross-train with other Commodity Lead Analysts for the purpose of identifying standardization opportunities and providing business continuity.
What we are looking for:
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related field
4+ years in supply chain finance, procurement finance, cost accounting, or plant/manufacturing finance
Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and translate into clear insights and actions
Ability to communicate financial concepts to stakeholders (buyers/procurement leaders) '
Highly detail-oriented with strong controls/accuracy
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Experience with commodity-sensitive environments (food, CPG, manufacturing, chemicals, packaging, etc.)
Experience with PPV and standard cost planning
Familiarity with hedge accounting concepts and commodity risk management
Exposure to savings initiatives including tracking savings realization
