A wholly-owned subsidiary of Great Eagle Holdings, Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) comprises a family of distinctive brands, including The Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis Hotels and Resorts, Eaton Workshop and Ying’nFlo. With over 40 hotels and residences in operation or development, LHG has a global footprint that extends across Asia, Europe, North America, Australasia and the Middle East.
We are seeking a seasoned AI Architect to lead the technical execution of LHG’s initial AI use cases. You will bridge the gap between business ideas and technical reality. Working on a one-year contract, you will architect, design, and oversee the development of AI agents and solutions aimed at streamlining workflows, enhancing guest engagement, and personalizing offerings. A key part of your role will be mentoring the internal LHG AI Cadre, transferring knowledge, and building internal capabilities to ensure sustainability beyond your contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end AI solutions for identified S&M use cases (e.g., personalized guest offers, voice-enabled booking, workflow automation). Select appropriate models, platforms (cloud AI services, open-source LLMs), and integration patterns.
- Technical Leadership: Lead the technical development lifecycle, overseeing code quality and solution design. Make build-vs-buy recommendations.
- Mentoring & Capability Building: Act as a technical coach to the 8-10 members of the LHG AI Cadre. Conduct regular knowledge transfer sessions on AI agent development, prompt engineering, and system integration.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with our external AI training partner to align the curriculum with the practical architecture being built.
- Implementation: Develop prototype solutions and oversee their deployment into production, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and compliant with data governance policies.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate complex technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders in the S&M and Executive teams.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on building and deploying AI/ML solutions (ideally including Generative AI and LLMs).
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, experience with AI/ML frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), cloud AI platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or GCP Vertex AI), and API development.
- Architecture: Strong understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and agentic architectures.
- Domain (Preferred): Experience in the hospitality, travel, or retail sector is a strong plus, specifically regarding customer data platforms (CDPs) and personalization engines.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teaching ability. Must be comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
