The Role

Datadog is looking for an L&D Senior Facilitator to design, deliver, and enhance learning programs that advance the company’s performance and strengthen our culture. This role is critical to the execution of our organization-wide learning initiatives as we rapidly scale.

You will have the opportunity to make a big impact at Datadog by upskilling our global employee base on critical skills such as delivering feedback, driving career development, communicating effectively, fostering an inclusive workplace, and more. A critical focus of this role is instructor-led facilitation, through which you will empower our teams to learn in real-time through connection, discussion, and practice. You will help unlock the potential of current and future employees by leading engaging, impactful, and enjoyable learning experiences. This role will also involve partnering with stakeholders across the business and within the People team to ensure we offer high-quality learning & development programming that continues to evolve and meet the unique needs of all participants.

The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running by confidently facilitating existing workshop content to our employees at all levels, up to and including senior leadership. They will quickly begin to build relationships with stakeholders and drive projects through completion to achieve business goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Run in-person & virtual instructor-led workshops for managers and individual contributors on a consistent basis (up to half the week including preparation time)
  • Facilitate in a manner that is engaging and resonates with employees from various backgrounds, experience levels, geographies, and cultures
  • Drive meaningful conversations by eliciting participant interaction, promoting respectful discussion of different perspectives, and responding to questions accurately and clearly
  • Demonstrate credibility by providing relevant business examples, supporting data, research
  • Be continuously familiar with our portfolio of workshop offerings and be prepared to step in in the event of coverage shifts
  • Partner with program managers, coordinators, content SMEs, and other facilitators to deliver and enhance our programs effectively
  • Contribute to programs such as train the trainer, Learning Week, new hire onboarding, and other special projects as necessary

Who You Are:

  • At least 7 years of professional experience facilitating instructor-led workshops, with at least 3 on manager development topics, both in-person and virtually
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with individuals across all levels (including senior leadership populations), departments, and geographies
  • Understanding of social science concepts and research that inform best practices for people managers and other employees
  • Technical proficiency, including with Zoom and host functionalities such as breakout rooms, polling, and chat
  • Availability to facilitate periodic virtual sessions outside of typical business hours to accommodate employees in different time zones around the world
  • Ability to travel to different offices, primarily domestic and sometimes international, to facilitate in-person workshops and meet other business needs (up to 25%) 
  • Work a hybrid schedule, typically 3 days in office, up to 2 days remote (with flexibility to work 5 days in office when needed for trainings)

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.

$130,000$175,000 USD
