Full Time- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (3 days per week in Chatsworth, NJ) and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (2 days in Monroe, NJ)

Position Summary

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive mental health care and support to the inmate/patient population within a correctional facility. The LCSW assesses, plans, and delivers individualized treatment services while collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure the safety, well-being, and rehabilitation of inmates/patients.


Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW or equivalent in the state where services are provided.
  • Sex offerender experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

  • Conduct mental health intakes, assessments, and crisis interventions.
  • Provide individual and group counseling tailored to inmate/patient needs.
  • Analyze psychosocial and behavioral factors to inform treatment planning.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries

Treatment Team Collaboration

  • Actively participate as a member of the treatment team to coordinate care and implement interventions.
  • Provide observational feedback and professional insights to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Refer inmates/patients to appropriate external resources and services upon release.

Program & Environment Management

  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions addressing identified treatment issues.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all inmates/patients.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the facility and behavioral health program.

  • Knowledge of correctional mental health practices and trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to work in a secure correctional environment, adhering to safety and security protocols.
  • May require standing, walking, and occasional lifting or assisting patients.
  • Must respond appropriately in high-stress or emergency situations.

  • Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities
  • Completes required orientation as directed by the facility
  • Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
  • Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol
  • Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations
  • Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts
  • Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility

Skills Required
