LCL & FCL Order Management Team Lead
Landside Operations Execution includes roles that manage and operate landside transport modalities, such as truck or rail transport of cargo/containers.
Management stream includes those who primarily lead people for whom they have employee lifecycle responsibilities including hire/fire decisions, coaching/mentoring, coordination of tasks, appraising performance, pay reviews, and developing for future assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations of the LCL and FCL Order Management teams, assigning responsibilities, ensuring adherence to SOPs and SLAs, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and file management standards.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for issues related to order handling delays, billing discrepancies, and non-conformance, proactively resolving problems in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with customers and partners through regular meetings alongside the Account Team, Operations, Product, and Procurement to align on performance, resolve issues, and drive process improvements.
- Contribute to strategic account development by supporting planning efforts, attending customer reviews, and identifying opportunities to grow the relationship beyond LCL and FCL scope.
- Monitor and improve team performance through regular KPI reviews, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal goals.
- Develop team capabilities by managing staffing and onboarding, conducting skill assessments, delivering targeted training, and fostering a culture of accountability and engagement through regular team communications and development reviews.
What we are looking for:
- Prior experience in a service-oriented company (B2B or B2C), with hands-on involvement in order management and/or execution.
- Educational background relevant to the maritime, logistics, or supply chain sectors, supporting a long-term career in operations.
- Familiarity with LCL and FCL operations is an advantage, though not a strict requirement.
- Experience using order management systems, ideally within the transportation or logistics industry (e.g., CargoWise One).
- Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach, comfortable engaging directly with clients and third-party vendors.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively, particularly for orders with timelines that span multiple days or weeks.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset, with a proactive attitude and commitment to upholding Maersk’s standards, products, and values.
- Polish and English skills are a must.
