Position Overview
The LCC Analyst II plays a key role within the Licensing, Contracting and Compensation team. This role will be the first point of contact for any day-to-day and escalated inquiries received from internal and external partners via phone, email and other communication mediums. The Analyst II will ensure that each situation is met with urgency while delivering clear, accurate and concise resolution on complex inquiries. The LCC Analyst II is a key point of contact for Succession and Continuity arrangements as well as assisting in training any new team member.

Responsibilities

Assist Financial Professionals and Field Office staff by responding to a broad range of inquiries

Providing first point of contact for escalated or complex inquiries

Work closely across LCC and other areas of the company as necessary to resolve compensation, contracting and other issues associated with functions performed in the department

Maintain an attitude of excellence, focused high quality, superior customer service and conveying an attitude of urgency

Communicate verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and organized manner, and on a level that meets the needs of the person or situation

Handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism

Research inquiries using the Penn Mutual systems and knowledge of life and annuity product features and functionality

Analyze transactions that impact compensation, contracting and other functions performed in the department and provide clear explanations and responses to inquiries

Understand and adhere to key risks and mitigating controls of the department

Process commission adjustments, agent changes, broker dealer changes, contracting, demographic, and other transactions as designated. This role may have limited access to certain transaction types to maintain prudent Segregation of Duty protocols – but the LCC Analyst II understands critical aspects of upstream and downstream systems regardless of access limitations

Understand critical components of all departmental functions and provide assistance to specialty tasks including but not limited to Succession Planning processes, Broker Dealer interactions, multi-channel value propositions and other field or financial professional activities as designated

Partner with Life and Annuity Services, Life and Annuity New Business, Payroll, Sales, Product, Actuary, Financial Distribution, Audit, Compliance, Finance and other internal partners

Complies with all company and site policies and procedures

Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements as designated
Skills & Abilities
-
Broad understanding of the Annuities and Life Insurance Industry, with a detailed knowledge and experience in contracting and compensation functions

Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decision to improve business outcomes

Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong technical skills with MS office products including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook

Proactive attitude with ability to work in a team environment and desire for continuously learning

Deep understanding of risk and control functions, reconciliations and the regulatory environment

Strong math aptitude with an understanding of general accounting principles and state contracting requirements.

Strong ability to work with others in a collaborative remote team environment
Education

College degree or equivalent work experience
Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
Base Salary Range : $64k-$70k
