The Role

Job Description:

This position is responsible for timely routing of jobs to the print center or design team, meeting strict deadlines for customers, quality assurance of jobs, providing pricing, as well as timely delivery of all products. This position is also responsible for assisting in the planning, direction and routing of small and large scale print and design jobs. Work involves overall responsibility for the processing of a wide variety of printed material including forms, pamphlets, reports, screens, posters, flyers and the routing of design and print jobs.

Job Essentials
1. Routes incoming job requests to either the design center or print production center. Locates the customers' files for printing, how to verify version control, gains authorization(s) for printing, and submits to the print production center. This requires a knowledge of all the content libraries (KR, document center, etc.), as well as the document repositories that exist externally (Donnelley, Elite Ops, FedEx, etc.).
2. Manages additional programming for storefront, including multiple tier pricing and ability to change it rapidly. Manages addition of new materials to the storefront online catalog, including creation of thumbnails.
3. Coordinates work with the design center, ensuring that the project is given to the appropriate designer for the type of work needed, and followed through from beginning to end. Works directly with the customer to ensure all needs and expectations are met.
4. Checks the work in progress and shifts priorities of orders as work requirements demand.
5. Meets with customers, reviews job requirements and writes up detailed work specifications for printed work
6. Provides friendly/usable interface training for end users.
7. Provides reports including past order history, usage by item, person, facility, date range, etc.
8. Performs basic equipment troubleshooting in order to resolve issues.
9. Communicates with manager and client on job or deadline issues and keeps them informed of any delays or outages.
10. Maintains item information regarding availability, minimum quantities, discontinued / superseded, switched to POD, etc. Maintains document tracking with accuracy.
11. Performs graphic design edits as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated experience and expertise working with printer or finishing equipment.

Demonstrated experience and expertise working with graphic design involving skills with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Experience in a role requiring attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality and escalating issues as needed as part of the QA process.

Experience in a role requiring prioritization of tasks and balancing multiple projects and deadlines.

Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications (such as MS-Office.)

Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years of experience working with printer or finishing equipment.

Five years of graphic design experience involving skills with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Physical Requirements:

Speaking, hearing / listening, seeing, manual dexterity, lifting, pushing / pulling.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$19.53 - $28.90
