Position Overview
The Sr. Process & Safety Engineer ensures the safe operation of industrial processes at the Blois site, managing chemical and technical risks in collaboration with EHS, Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams. This role provides technical safety expertise for risk analysis, Management of Change (MOC), and compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Act as the site reference for industrial process safety
Conduct risk analyses (PHA, HAZOP, FMEA, PQRA)
Lead MOC processes and support CapEx projects
Ensure compliance with HSE standards (ISO 14000, ICPE, ATEX)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)
Validate technical and safety aspects of projects
Organize safety training and promote safety culture
Monitor HSE KPIs and manage incident investigations
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or equivalent
5+ years’ experience in process safety within high-risk industrial environments
Expertise in risk analysis tools and change management
Ability to read, analyse, and apply P&ID schematics in operational activities.
Expert in abstract thinking and complex problem-solving
Strong background in Continuous Improvement methodologies and Lean principles to drive operational excellence.
Fluent French and professional English
Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with chemical processes (polymer emulsions, adhesives)
Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ATEX standards
Lean Six Sigma certification
Experience in SEVESO or ICPE-classified sites
