Location Overview
Join our team in Amanyara. Basking on the secluded shores of an 18,000-acre nature reserve, Amanyara’s lush tropical pavilions and villas overlook half a mile of white sand beaches and the turquoise waters of Providenciales' North West Point Marine National Park. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To design and plan the continuing improvement to the entire site landscaping, this will include emerging technologies, renewable energy sources, alternative fencing materials, new equipment, new additives for plants and pest/vector control.
- To be responsible for Hurricane preparedness for all the Landscaping of the entire Estate.
- To maintain the property to the highest standards in accordance with agreed procedures and budgets.
- To develop a strong relationship with mission critical external support groups such as Bio Rationale, nursery suppliers at home and abroad, consultant landscape architects, equipment suppliers.
- To support day to day operation by continuously planning and implementing planned maintenance regimes to minimize the impact of seasonal droughts and growth patterns.
- To proactively manage the Villa Landscaping team and to communicate clearly and fairly with the team. To actively supervise, encourage, train and discipline the team.

- To participate in taking monthly readings, inventories, performance metrics for landscaping and pest/vector control plus monthly reports.
- To maintain the nursery and constantly improve the nursery and aquaponics farm as a guest amenity. Encourage visitors and offer informative tours.
- To identify and label all plants for the benefit of hikers and interested guests.
- To ensure and maintain the record of all schedule maintenance to date and follow ups.
- To constantly add to the knowledge data base of the estate. Where plants are planted and when. How they perform. Why changes are made.
- To keep current with the latest technical innovations in Landscape architecture and maintenance.
- To ensure that all operatives on the property work in a safe way in a safe environment.
- To evaluate all landscape and garden systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting applicable testing when necessary to ascertain certain results
- To confirm systems’ and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
- To maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- To maintain the gardens and pest control at all ancillary properties such as the staff housing at Blue Hills and Flamingo Park.
- To maintain records of planned works, breakdowns, service histories, meter readings, utilities.
- To comprehend reading and drawing prints and schematics
- To read and understand technical drawings, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions and written instructions.
- To ensure regular external water testing regime.
- To monitor and maintain all lift stations and waste water systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree/diploma in a landscaping, agriculture related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar role working in a luxury resort
