We are excited to announce that we have just opened a Laboratory Project Handler Power Electronics position who will be supporting our local laboratory on site (working hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m) in Madrid in handling electrical testing in accordance with relevant grid code safety standards for power electronics and power converters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Support the testing process in UL Laboratory by examination of test samples, reading blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams, measuring instruments and operational instructions
- Installation and disassembly of devices on the test bench
- Support the evaluation of test performance (within UL and non-UL scheme) and review test and construction data with supervisor
- Build and/or adapt setup and test equipment based on data sheets and instructions from Engineering department
- Operate designated machines and special laboratory test equipment under safety standards consideration
- Report data to Engineers and other laboratory staff based on the instructions received
- Support Engineers in communication with clients during the setup and performance of a test to demonstrate equipment test methods and/or to discuss test results
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- Technical High School (preferably: Electrical field)
- Around 2-3 years of laboratory testing experience would be preferred (working with test equipment like oscilloscope, power analyzer etc.), ideally with experience in Power Electronics
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
- Fluent in Spanish language; basic or good command of spoken and written English (B2) is an advantage
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must
- Effective communication skills in customer interactions
- Affinity to work in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel for witness testing at customer site (up to 10%)
