Education Recommendations
Currently enrolled as a candidate for a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Material Science, or a related field at an accredited school in the US. Minimum GPA 3.5/4.0; minimum 70 credits completed toward your degree by June 1.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Develop practical skills in optical and digital microscopy
- Conduct environmental testing
- Gain hands-on experience with advanced imaging instrumentation and techniques like a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray non-destructive inspection, to investigate failures
- Understand the operations of a reliability testing organization.
- Strong motivation and interest to learn best practices and new skills in laboratory experimentation and testing of materials
- At least 6 semester-long courses (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Material Science) requiring laboratory measurement and/or testing
- Basic programming skills
