Job Summary
The Graphic and Motion Designer will conceptualize and execute creative design concepts for communication across print, digital and multimedia formats for the LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park. This role is approximately 70% graphic design and 30% motion design, supporting digital, social media and video teams with visual communication through the build out of static and animated creative assets. Grow and evolve brand and brand relevance of the LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate on and design logos, digital and social graphics, stadium videoboard graphics, print ads, out of home ads and retail merchandise; design advertisements, print materials, still digital imaging, web graphics, marketing campaigns and sales promotions that reach and retain fans, per strategy set by the Head of Creative and Brand
- Animate and adapt existing brand assets into motion graphics for social media, videoboard, LED and broadcast use, including title cards, lower thirds, transitions, logo stings, sponsor animations and short-form animated storytelling; translate static campaign design systems into motion while ensuring visual and brand consistency across every format and screen size
- Serve as the daily point-of-contact for Dignity Health Sports Park graphic design needs by interacting directly with Dignity Health Sports Park employees and project managing and designing their graphic requests
- Execute game day digital strategy for both home and away matches by designing in-game static and animated graphics for use on web, social media and videoboard
- Collaborate with Creative and Brand leaders on strategizing and developing methods to increase fan engagement and brand awareness across all digital platforms
- Maintain organized project files, asset libraries and animation templates to allow for rapid turnaround during matchdays and campaign launches
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management and supervisors
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) Graphic Design, Motion Design or a related field.
- 2-4 years Related work experience.
- Portfolio showcasing graphic design and motion design work across digital, print, and video platforms.
- Ability to create compelling visual communication for print, digital and video platforms.
- Advance proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, including keyframing, basic 2D animation and exporting to platform and videoboard specifications.
- Strong knowledge of print, web and social media best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and effectively manage stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative design solutions and contribute new ideas to enhance fan engagement and brand storytelling.
- Collaborative team player who demonstrates professionalism, accountability, initiative, and dependability.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the professional sports industry.
- Knowledge of soccer, Major League Soccer (MLS), and the Los Angeles sports market is a plus.
- Professional sports, entertainment, agency, or live event experience preferred.
- Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender or other 3D software is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
Payscale: $72,000.00 - $75,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
