The Role

EHS Leadership & Compliance Management

  • Implement and oversee country-wide EHS programs in alignment with company policies and Taiwan’s regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized EHS compliance tracking system to monitor site performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and data-driven analysis to ensure continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Support site-level teams in ensuring full compliance with workplace safety and environmental laws.

Training Program Development & Validation

  • Design and implement training requirements for all levels of the organization, ensuring they align with regulatory and company standards.
  • Develop a systematic approach to tracking training completion and compliance validation across all sites.
  • Collaborate with frontline teams, leadership, and external partners to enhance training effectiveness and employee engagement in safety initiatives.

Project Execution & Process Development

  • Drive EHS project execution, ensuring timely implementation and measurable impact.
  • Create and manage tracking mechanisms for safety initiatives, incident response, and risk mitigation programs.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to improve EHS efficiency and compliance.

Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work directly with the Senior Director, Head of EHS for Taiwan to develop and execute national EHS strategies.
  • Partner with operations, facilities, and leadership teams to align EHS objectives with business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups to enhance best practices, improve site-level execution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Writing & Reporting

  • Develop clear, concise, and accurate EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Create executive reports and presentations detailing EHS performance, compliance trends, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure all documentation is updated and maintained in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in EHS leadership roles, preferably in a multi-site or national capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Taiwan’s workplace safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proven experience in developing compliance tracking systems and managing training programs.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to drive complex initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create policies, training materials, and executive reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.

Preferred:

  • Advanced certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent.
  • Certification in recognized EHS management systems such as ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.
  • Experience in EHS digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled compliance tracking.
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience in using dashboards and tracking KPIs.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English.
  • Prior experience in a multinational corporation or fast-scaling organization.
