About the Role
As a Technical Program Manager on our Hardware team, you will support NPI programs and a wide range of manufacturing efforts on the ground in Asia. In this role, you’ll partner closely with EPM, EE, ME and Design resources in both our US and Taipei offices, and a wide network of JDMs. From managing build readiness and FATP prep to validation and certification troubleshooting, you’ll be responsible for doing what it takes to keep programs on track and moving forward towards a successful launch. Verkada TPMs must be ready to get hands-on and leverage deep technical expertise to hold vendors accountable, clear program hurdles, and help the team drive from prototype to production. This is a full-time, in-person role based in our Taipei, Taiwan office.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee key EVT, DVT and PVT build milestones at our JDM R&D and factory facilities. Leverage your engineering expertise to de-risk NPI builds and expedite technical troubleshooting independently. 
  • Own manufacturing readiness, line bring up, and FATP problem solving for a complex set of electromechanical products within one of Verkada’s newest product lines. 
  • Guide material readiness, fixture/jig readiness, and other clear to build efforts in advance of FATP. Work with JDM manufacturing partners to assess FATP flow, test coverage, fixture/equipment plans and associated test limits.
  • Work closely with EE, ME and FW teammates (in both the US and Taiwan) to solve a variety of end to end NPI challenges from early design development efforts to later stage validation & compliance challenges.
  • Work closely with EPM teammates to drive vendors towards aggressive schedules and ambitious objectives; hold our manufacturing partners accountable & communicate status updates clearly to EPM counterparts & the broader team. 
  • Serve as a key point of contact for an international network of manufacturing partners.
What You Bring
  • B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical design, validation and manufacturing. 
  • 5+ years of experience developing and manufacturing new electronics products.
  • Direct exposure to manufacturing of audio & video related products is a plus. 
  • Must have completed at least two full hardware development cycles through product launch with direct (in person) exposure to FATP
  • Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English 
  • Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30%
