The energy industry is undergoing the largest transformation since industrialisation at an unprecedented rate of change and we are positioning ourselves to be at the heart of that change.
Our aim is to be the leading global provider of solutions that enable customers to release £30bn of value per annum from distributed energy resources (DERs). We are building a Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription business with a global addressable market of £2.4 billion per annum, by digitally connecting hundreds of thousands of DERs with energy markets.
We have already attained a market leading position and KrakenFlex is a recognised thought leader and innovator in the industry.
We're looking for a Knowledge Manager with a general interest in technology and problem-solving; someone diligent and thoughtful. It's an unusual documentation challenge to solve: building docs in a "greenfield" opportunity, while also building a more-complex-than-average docs solution.
What you'll do
- Sit in the new multi-disciplinary Knowledge Management team – a cross-cutting team that sits across the entire business, helping audiences of all types (both internal teams and a diverse set of external clients) get the product information they need.
- Work with a specific group of Kraken Product teams to become a strong SME and documentation champion in those areas.
- Work horizontally with peers in other Product groups to share solutions and grow Knowledge Management as a discipline within Kraken.
- Be knowledgeable in audience user needs for this setting.
- Plan, co-write (when required), edit, review, maintain, and deprecate fantastic documentation.
What you'll need
- Writing documentation for SaaS companies or working with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Writing and maintaining multiple sets of documentation, or a similar variable of complexity.
- Writing documentation for very varied audiences, avoiding duplication.
- Experience working with Product teams and implementing new processes.
- Experience tracking documentation impact and effectiveness.
- Experience using docs-as-code.
