The Knowledge Manager aligns people, processes, and technology to enhance information sharing, workflow efficiency, and organizational decision-making across the intelligence enterprise. This role ensures analysts and mission partners can effectively access, use, and manage intelligence data, products, and records across multiple domains and classification levels. The Knowledge Manager leverages enterprise content management systems, centralized and distributed databases, and digital production platforms to improve discoverability, dissemination, and lifecycle management of intelligence information. This position is critical to enabling smooth cross-domain sharing, maintaining information integrity, and supporting mission readiness across the JIOC.
ResponsibilitiesInformation & Content Management
- Post, edit, distribute, and maintain content across classified and unclassified websites, portals, and knowledge repositories.
- Organize data, establish file structures, and ensure information is captured, stored, and retrievable by authorized users.
- Maintain content integrity through consistent application of metadata, taxonomy, and file-naming conventions.
- Ensure proper security protocols are followed for classified, proprietary, and personally identifiable information.
Workflow & Business Process Optimization
- Shape and improve workflows by integrating knowledge management best practices into business processes.
- Support analysts and operational teams by enabling effective search, discovery, retrieval, and use of intelligence data.
- Facilitate cross-domain dissemination of intelligence products across various government networks and portals.
Database & Systems Administration
- Use government-furnished tools—including Microsoft SharePoint and enterprise content platforms—to search, store, and retrieve data.
- Build, update, and maintain knowledge repositories and databases used to support intelligence production.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, repositories, and structured data environments that enhance all-source analytic production.
Metrics & Reporting
- Compile and analyze performance and usage metrics for knowledge management systems.
- Prepare reports, metrics packages, and presentations that inform capability planning and future requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve knowledge-sharing tools, search functionality, and enterprise data management processes.
Collaboration & Mission Support
- Work with analysts, technical staff, and mission partners to meet information-sharing needs across the JIOC.
- Collaborate with IC partners to support information sharing, collection management, and conflict-resolution efforts.
- Provide knowledge management and information governance support during exercises, operations, and mission planning.
Required Skills & Capabilities

- Ability to communicate understanding of incomplete, indirect, or technically complex information.
- Proven capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Experience collaborating across the Intelligence Community and resolving information-sharing challenges.

- Strong ability to produce concise, insightful, and comprehensive intelligence-support products.
Required Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with at least part of that experience within the last 2 years.
