Interested in learning how high-quality data can be used for strategic and organisational planning at higher education institutions globally? We’re looking for a dedicated student with impressive writing skills and a passion for learning to join the Knowledge Management team at Nous Data Insights.

In this role, you will support day-to-day updates to our guidance materials, while also exploring how AI can responsibly support efficient and consistent knowledge development. You’ll, build core skills that will support you in a range of careers, engaging in writing, analytical, problem-solving and research activities.

Our knowledge management team is focused on developing and maintaining knowledge resources that support our clients in gathering and analysing data as part of our international higher education benchmarking program (UniForum). As the volume and complexity of our knowledge grows alongside new clients, products & regions, and AI tools increasingly influence how information can be managed, we are adopting more sustainable, human-centred knowledge practices.

This is an ongoing, casual, 2-day per week position, with options for flexible and additional working days that can accommodate your university timetable.

As a Knowledge Management Intern, you will:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality client guidance, including written explanations, briefing documents (PowerPoint), supporting images & diagrams, videos and other resources
  • Summarise key client issues and themes to assist with prioritising improvement ideas, and help to implement improvement initiatives
  • Actively experiment with AI‑assisted tools for tasks such as drafting, summarising, structuring, or reviewing knowledge content
  • Compare AI‑assisted outputs with existing human‑produced materials, documenting results
  • Evaluate quality, accuracy, consistency, and potential risks of AI adoption
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable, human‑in‑the‑loop workflows to support the entire knowledge lifecycle, from creation to review, maintenance & storage
  • Build relationships across Nous Data Insights, including with client support & data science teams.

A bit about you:

  • Excellent writing abilities, with the ability to interpret and present complex concepts in a concise, user-friendly way
  • Strong academic background, actively studying towards a Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high quality work
  • Curious, analytical, and thorough
  • Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively, using initiative to draw on the expertise of those around you
  • Strong willingness to learn and help others
  • Interested in the higher education sector and how AI is affecting real organisational work (particularly knowledge creation and maintenance).

Students with backgrounds in Information Management, Business Information Systems, Digital & Learning Design, Communications & Technical Writing, or related fields will be highly regarded.
