ABOUT US

We’re the world’s leading provider of secure financial messaging services, headquartered in Belgium. We are the way the world moves value – across borders, through cities and overseas. No other organisation can address the scale, precision, pace and trust that this demands, and we’re proud to support the global economy.

We’re unique too. We were established to find a better way for the global financial community to move value – a reliable, safe and secure approach that the community can trust, completely. We’re always striving to be better and are constantly evolving in an ever-changing landscape, without undermining that trust. Five decades on, our vibrant community reflects the complexity and diversity of the financial ecosystem. We innovate diligently, test exhaustively, then implement fast. In a connected and exciting era, our mission has never been more relevant. Swift now has a presence in 200+ countries and legal territories to serve a community of more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions.

Are you passionate about skills development, continuous learning, and empowering people to reach their full potential? Do you thrive in a global, multicultural environment?
We’re looking for a hands-on, dynamic, and forward-thinking Knowledge & Learning Specialist to join our Technology Platform division, operating across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions.
As a key member of our CTO Office, you’ll support the skills and knowledge development of over 800 employees and leaders across the Technology Platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic impact by implementing innovative approaches to skills development, knowledge management, and career pathing and leveraging a skills taxonomy to drive these approaches.

What to expect

•    Support the definition and execution of learning and knowledge programmes that support foundational and future-critical capabilities, integrating both training and knowledge management tactics.
•    Maintain and leverage our structured skills taxonomy to align development efforts with organisational priorities.
•    Drive ongoing skills definition and gap analysis, translating gaps into targeted knowledge or development interventions.
•    Embed skills frameworks into talent processes such as critical roles, capacity planning, talent sourcing, and succession planning.
•    Contribute to knowledge management processes across critical business areas, enabling talent to capture, curate, and access knowledge across systems and silos.
•    Champion a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing by designing intuitive, scalable approaches and supporting materials.
•    Support the knowledge capture, sharing, and reuse across teams and functions.
•    Define meaningful metrics and dashboards to track the impact of learning, knowledge sharing, and skills development on business performance.
•    Collaborate with the business to incorporate learning and knowledge management practices into critical business areas.
•    Evaluate and improve current learning and knowledge materials, programmes, and practices.
•    Encourage a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across departments.

What will make you successful?

•    3–5 years’ experience in Learning & Development, Knowledge Management, Skills Frameworks, Career Pathways, or related areas.
•    Prior involvement in designing, maintaining, and leveraging skills taxonomies and career frameworks.
•    Prior involvement in knowledge management strategy development and implementation.
•    Familiarity with instructional design or content development is a plus.
•    Exposure to designing learning paths in a tech-enabled environment.
•    Solid project coordination and change management capabilities.
•    Good understanding of skills frameworks in a skills-based organisation.
•    Analytical mindset with the ability to assess workforce needs and provide data-driven insights.
•    Excellent stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and communication skills.
•    Ability to influence, gain buy-in, and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
•    Innovative, results-driven, and action-oriented approach.
•    Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
•    Willingness to support operational and administrative tasks when required.
•    Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and independently.

•    University degree or equivalent experience.
