Requirements
Your daily work will include preparing, producing, editing and delivering local news on-air and online. Your duties will include general reporting, live breaking news, and anchoring hourly newscasts. Digital and social media skills are a must. In addition, you will need to hit deadlines and be willing to thrive in a creative and hard-working environment.
The ideal candidate will have a degree from a 4-year institution and at least 1 year of radio and/or other relevant media experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year institution
- At least 1 year of radio and/or relevant media experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent announcing and production skills
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Adobe Audition
- Experience with WordPress
- Experience with radio systems such as News Boss and NexGen Digital Broadcast
- Digital and social media skills
- Ability to report, enterprise stories, and anchor live breaking news
- Ability to hit deadlines and work in a creative, hard-working environment
