We are looking to add an experienced Key Accounts Director to our Business Development team in North America. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Key Accounts Director is responsible for leading strategic customer relationships and driving revenue growth by executing focused sales and market expansion plans. The role combines technical understanding with commercial leadership, while guiding and developing the team to deliver strong performance and long-term customer value.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development and deployment of the market penetration strategy.
  • Responsible for driving sales revenue growth.
  • Take a creative business approach to decision-making where winning sales is the goal.
  • Implement sales management strategies, deploy sales management tools and create sales metrics.
  • Effectively develop and execute an annual sales plan.
  • Understand customer needs of a technical nature and facilitate technical discussions by arranging for the appropriate technical/sales resources to support the sales process and win orders.
  • Lead the effort to establish sustainable and long-term business relationships with senior level decision-makers. 
  • Collaborates with MineSense’s leadership team to strategically focus marketing and sales efforts to support the company’s strategic positioning and sales growth plans. 
  • Ensure that “world class” solutions and services are provided to all MineSense customers. 
  • Work closely with the Senior Management Team to achieve corporate objectives.
  • People Leadership

    • Acts as a champion of company values by promoting and integrating them into daily operations, employee engagement, and organizational initiatives.
    • Collaborates to ensure department goals align with organizational objectives. 
    • Coaches and mentors existing team members to reach their fullest potential.
    • Conducts performance evaluations and identifies top performers/persons needing support.
    • Builds trusted relationships by actively listening and delivering fair and honest feedback.
    • Collaborates with the HR/Talent Team on recruitment strategies, participates in attracting new talent and the entire employee life cycle.
    • Implements strategies to effectively remove team member roadblocks, while advocating for team resources and technologies.
    • Oversees the development and execution of department-specific programs to accelerate and maximize the effectiveness of new hires & existing team members.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Business-to-Business sales. Experience of the mining industry is strongly preferred.
  • Generally, 10+ years of relevant experience in a sales leadership role. 
  • Experience with international sales and marketing of technical products.
  • A proven record of success.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Innovative and strategic thinker.
  • Financial aptitude and business acumen.
  • Must be available to travel up to 50% within N. America. Valid passport and vaccination required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • English language skills mandatory, Spanish language skills is a plus.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Experience working in Microsoft 365.
  • Health & Safety conscious individual.

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity. Keeping this mind, the salary offered can be outside of the range posted.
