Why This Role Is Right for You
You’ll join the highly successful Danish Large & Key Accounts Sales team of approx. 25 people and be based in Denmark/Copenhagen. Strong team spirit and winner mentality are highly prioritized, and we are an integrated part of Nexi Europe, working alongside highly skilled and experienced colleagues across the continent. You will be accountable for new business sales, cross-selling and upselling to our largest and most important merchants. You will be responsible for building and developing key relationships and become a trusted advisor driving sales and commercial success, helping to ensure that Merchants Solutions Division achieves its commercial goals.
About Your Future Role
In this position, you will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of large and strategic retail and e-commerce accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business models and tailoring Nexi’s solutions to their needs.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities across Nexi’s product suite, including acquiring, gateways, and value-added services.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure profitability while delivering exceptional customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Operations) to deliver and oversee a seamless solution onboarding and support for your merchants
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain Nexi’s competitive edge.
- Report on account performance, pipeline, and forecasts to senior management

To be successful in this role, you will need to understand the key needs of our merchants in the retail and e-commerce vertical. You are great at solving problems and issues, you have a commercial mentality, and you have a strong drive to achieve goals and contribute to the realization of our ambitious targets.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Key Account Management and solid experience (preferably 8-10+ years) from direct sales and large account management, preferably within retail, e-commerce, telco, payments, or SaaS solution
Relevant knowledge and experience from Payment, FinTech, IT or Telco industry.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills at C-level.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and digital payment trends.
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken).

- Experience working with large enterprise clients in retail, travel, or subscription-based businesses.
- Knowledge of acquiring, fraud prevention, and omnichannel payment solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and data-driven sales approaches.
- Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Strong presentation and communication skills for client pitches and internal reporting.
